Bio

I’m a self-shooting Director with over 10 years’ experience working on observational and true-crime docs. I have an MA in Documentary Directing from NFTS (2017) and an MA in Visual Anthropology (2010). In May 2026 my Channel 4 First Cut documentary 'Do You Know This Man?' was released - it was selected as The Guardian's pick of the week. This came about after winning the First Cut pitch at Sheffield Doc Fest in 2023. I was also the Shooting Producer on the Bafta-winnning ITV documentary 'Ellie Simmonds: Finding My Secret Family' (2024). Other recent credits include working as a Shooting PD on the following series - 'Critical' (Netflix), 'Ambulance' (BBC1), and 'Night Coppers' (Channel 4).

Along with broadcast work I have made independent / festival docs - in 2020 I finished my first feature 'Faith and Branko' - a character-driven obs doc which follows the complicated marriage between two musicians from different cultures. It premiered at Sheffield Doc Fest 2020 and Hot Docs Canada 2021; it was selected for Dok Leipzig's Audience Award category and won the Best Documentary award at SEE Fest LA. In 2022 I edit-produced a 58-min cut for Al Jazeera and the VOD platforms Filmin and Guide Doc.

I'm a resourceful, perceptive and narrative-driven person with a genuine interest and care for people and their stories. I have worked with vulnerable contributors and sensitive subject matter, I have also completed training in trauma-informed interviewing. My main interests are in observational documentaries as well as crime and justice stories.
